Google+ = Success

This year, at Social Media Week, AOL hosted a panel called "The Vibrant New Ecosystem of Music and Brands". The panel was set up with members from both the music industry and big brands. One of the panelist was Daria Musk a music artist that became a internet sensation through Google +. (Google needs to give this women a raise because she is the perfect poster child for why to use Google+, the benefits, and how it helped her rise to music stardom.)

After a suggestion from her brother, Daria joined Google+ while it was still in the testing phase. One night she thought why don't I use this to perform instead of lugging my amp around in the rain. At that time Google hangouts only had a limited amount of people who could be in one hangout. During her first performance she played for over 6 hours, users rotated available hangout spots to see her perform. This was the start of something big, Google was so impressed by what she was doing they brought her on as a consultant. Now Daria is streaming concerts for millions monthly and having her performances sponsored by big brands. This year she even attended the GRAMMYS and is gearing up for her first studio album. Ms.Musk story inspired me, so now I'm buckling up and taking Google+ on a test drive.

I promise to continue to tell you about my Google+ experience. Click here to come hangout with me
